Starting with a guided day tour to some of the major cultural and historical sites, namely, Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and the Kathmandu Durbar Square in Kathmandu, we drive to the hill station of Bandipur, then to the city by the lake, Pokhara, followed by the eco-park of the Chitwan National Park and finally a day trip to Nagarkot via Bhaktapur ending the 10 day classic trip. NEPAL CLASSIC TOUR – 9 NIGHTS/10 DAYS

Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu

Welcome to Nepal. Today is our first day with Dhyanam India Tours. Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, one of our company representatives will receive you and transfer you to the hotel booked for you in Kathmandu. as per your flight schedule you may have some relax & then a welcome dinner at one of the most popular local restaurants to present you with a few glimpses of Nepali culture and food.

Day 02: Kathmandu

After breakfast, will visit The capital, Kathmandu, is a big storehouse of brave history and centuries old culture and architecture. This day is totally dedicated to introducing you to the historical, cultural and religious attractions of the Kathmandu Valley. Therefore, this trip of yours starts with a visit to some of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites (Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and the Kathmandu Durbar Square) in the Kathmandu Valley.

Day 03: Drive to Bandipur

After breakfast will drive to Bandipur, located 143 km west of Kathmandu.. An 8 kilometer  drive on this road will take us to beautiful Bandipur situated on top of the hill above the highway town of Dumre. The top presents the beautiful view of some towering mountains and the entire Bandipur area, which was originally a part of the Magar Kingdom of Tanahu, now presents a living museum of Newari culture, as well as other attractions like villages, temples, viewpoints and mysterious caves. Therefore, once we reach Bandipur, we check into the hotel and set out to explore a few of these sites in the area.

Day 04: Drive to Pokhara

Pokhara, 80 km west of Bandipur, is the destination set for the day. After enjoying the sunrise view from Bandipur, we have our breakfast and leave for Nepal’s premier tourist town ‘Pokhara’. After about two and a half hours short scenic drive, we reach Pokhara. We check into the hotel and after a short rest we set out to explore the Lakeside, settled along the calm waters of Phewa Lake. Therefore, we spend the rest of the day enjoying the attractions of the lake area.

Day 05: Pokhara

After breakfast, will spend the entire day exploring Pokhara. we set out on a city tour to visit the major attractions of Pokhara that include, Devi’s Fall (waterfall), Gupteswar cave, Bindabasini Temple, Seti River gorge and Museum. We will then go for an hour boating trip around the Phewa Lake. Or, if time permit, we can also climb up to the World Peace Pagoda and enjoy the surrounding view.

Day 06: Sunrise at Sarangkot and drive to Chitwan National Park

Though Chitwan National Park, another main tourist attraction in Nepal, is the destination set for the day, we cannot afford to miss the sunrise view from Sarangkot, while we are in Pokhara. Therefore, we wake up earlier than usual to enjoy the mesmerizing view, before heading to the Chitwan National Park. Early in the morning, we are transferred to Sarangkot (5 kms from lake side and 45 mins car ride from Pokhara). On reaching the top, we will be greeted with beautiful sun rays, striking high snow capped peaks of the Annapurna region.  On reaching  the Chitwan National Park, we freshen up and have lunch at the hotel. We then  set off to visit the Tharu Village (ethnic group of Nepal), explore their lifestyle and even visit their museum to gain additional information about their community. Around the evening, we enjoy the sunset view at the bank of the river and the evening ends with a cultural show performed by the Tharu people, which is followed by a bonfire.

Day 07: Chitwan

Today, the entire day will be spent exploring the Chitwan National Park. The main purpose of the Chitwan National Park visit is to track the variety of wildlife hidden in the dense jungle. We either do this on foot or select other options like dugout canoe, jeep safari or the elephant ride.The trip starts with an elephant ride, which is then followed by a dugout canoe trip down the Budhi  Rapti River that presents us the opportunity to spot various water birds. We then visit the elephant breeding center, elephant camp and if time permits, we also visit the Bees Hajar Taal.

Day 08: Drive to Kathmandu

After breakfast will drive to Kathmandu, the destination set for the day. However, before leaving, there is still one thing that we shouldn’t miss out, when we are in the Chitwan National Park. This national park also homes a wide variety of birds that are rarely found in other parts of the world. Therefore, early in the morning, before leaving for Kathmandu, we go for a short trip in the woods with the purpose of bird watching. We then head back to Kathmandu, enjoying the scenic drive on the Prithvi Highway. After about 4 hours drive, we reach Kathmandu, where you will be transferred to the hotel. The remaining day can be spent according to your desire.

Day 09: Day trip to Nagarkot via Bhaktapur

After breakfast, we drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square (UNESCO World Heritage Site).  After exploring the area, we drive to Nagarkot that present the breathtaking panoramic view of mountains including Mt. Everest. You can also enjoy the view of Kathmandu. After spending some time here, we drive back to your hotel in Kathmandu. The remaining day can be spent relaxing at the hotel  or exploring the shopping areas of Kathmandu.

Day 10: Departure day from Kathmandu

After breakfast, as per your flight schedule will drop you to the International airport. we will finish our services with a little farewell gift from Dhyanam India Tours.

Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu

Welcome to Kathmandu – the capital city of Nepal.. Therefore, we send one of our company representatives to receive you at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), who will further escort you to hotel. Today, we also arrange a welcome dinner in one of the most popular local restaurants, where you can also enjoy the ethnic dance and cultural music along with great Nepali food. If your flight arrives late, both the meeting and the dinner can be scheduled for the following day.

Day 02: Kathmandu

The capital, Kathmandu valley itself, is a big storehouse of exclusive natural, cultural and historical sites. Therefore, today, we take you on a few hour tours to the major attractions of Kathmandu valley. After spending a few hours observing these wonderful sites, we can spend some time in the local market to know the local culture.

Day 03: Drive to Chitwan

After breakfast, will drive to Chitwan. After about 5 hours drive on a winding highway along the Trishuli River we reach the Chitwan National Park, where we freshen up and have lunch at the hotel. We then set off to visit the Tharu Village (ethnic group of Nepal), explore their lifestyle and even visit their museum. Around the evening, we enjoy the sunset at the bank of the river and the evening ends with a cultural show performed by the Tharu people along with a bonfire.

Day 04: Chitwan

We spend the whole day exploring the Chitwan National Park. The main purpose of visiting Chitwan is to track wildlife hidden in the dense jungle by a variety of means – foot, dugout canoe, jeep safari, and elephant ride. As far as possible, we do all of these things. We start our day with an elephant ride, which is followed by a dugout canoe trip down the Budhi Rapti River that presents us the opportunity to spot various waterbirds. We then visit the elephant breeding center, elephant camp and if time permits, we also visit the Bis Hajar Taal.

Day 05: Drive to Pokhara

Pokhara is the destination set for the day. However, before leaving Chitwan, we go for bird watching. After that, leaving Terai, we head towards the hills in Nepal, that is, we head towards Pokhara, situated 200kms west of Kathmandu and 4 hours from Chitwan. Enjoying the hills, river, vegetation and the settlement of people we reach Pokhara. We check into the hotel, freshen up and set off to explore the Lake area of Pokhara. We relax  in a boat on the placid water of Phewa Tal, visit Barahi Temple or even try fishing. We also enjoy the night life in Pokhara.

Day 06: Pokhara

This 124 square-kilometer valley offers endless options to spend a quality day. We spend our day visiting some major attractions of the valley. The attractions include a visit to Davi’s fall (famous waterfall), Gupteswor Cave, Bindabasini Temple, Seti River Gorge and the museums. We also arrange for an hour boating trip around the lake that gives you enough opportunity to capture some of the best shots of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna

Day 07: Sunrise at Sarangkot and Drive to Kathmandu.

Today we start our day earlier than the sun. We wake up early in the morning and drive to Sarangkot, which is at the distance of 5 kilometers from lake side and 45 mins car ride from Pokhara. With the beautiful sunrise view, the top presents the sight of shimmering Phewa Tal and Suikhet Valley with stunning vista of the Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchhre. After back to the hotel for breakfast & then will drive to Kathmandu, on arrival check in to the hotel & free time for relax or shopping.

Day 08: Departure day from Kathmandu

After breakfast, as per your flight schedule will transfer you to the International Airport. we will finish our services with a little farewell gift from Dhyanam India Tours.
