    Day 01    Delhi

    Upon arrival at the Indira Gandhi International Airport you will be met by our representative and will be transferred to the hotel. Welcome reception. Stay overnight in Delhi.

    day 02    Delhi

    On this day you will discover the treasures of Delhi. Option 1 – In the morning after breakfast we will start with a walking tour through the labyrinth of streets of this vibrant city. A former inhabitant of one of the slums of Old Delhi and tour guide of the NGO Salaam Baalak Trust will show us the best secrets of this part of the city and we will visit one of its centers at the end of the tour. Following the walking tour we will stop for lunch and we will continue with a sightseeing tour of New Delhi, visiting the Gandhi Memorial, India Gate and the President House, all of them very important icons of the biggest democracy on Earth. We will drive towards the mausoleum precursor of the Taj Mahal: Humayun’s Tomb, an architectonic masterpiece. Here we will find a haven of peace within this busy city and will enjoy its idyllic gardens and a beautiful sunset. We will spend the night in Delhi. Option 2 – In the morning after breakfast we will start with a visit to the impressive Red Fort, a World Heritage Site and which reflects the splendor and power of the Mughal Empire in India during the 17th century. You will amazed yourself with the walls that surround the fort which are 18 meters high. Next we will visit the huge Jama Masjid Mosque, the largest mosque in the country and which can accommodate up to 25,000 people. It will be followed by a stop for lunch and we will continue with a sightseeing tour of New Delhi, visiting the Gandhi Memorial, the India Gate and the President House, all of them very important icons of the biggest democracy on Earth. We will drive towards the precursor of the Taj Mahal: Humayun’s Tomb, an architectonic masterpiece. Here we will find a haven of peace within this busy city and will enjoy the idyllic gardens and a beautiful sunset. Finally we will visit the magnificent mosque of Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah where we will delight our senses listening qawwali music, the devotional sufi songs that will transport us to a dream world. We will spend the night in Delhi.

  • Day 03
    Day 03    Delhi – Mandawa

    Early in the morning, after a revitalizing breakfast, we will drive towards Mandawa, one of the jewels of Rajasthan. At this destination you can enjoy the true beauty of the land of the Maharajas. This town is famous for its palace built in the 18th century, which has been converted into a heritage luxury hotel. We will reach there late in the afternoon on time to walk through the streets of Mandawa and observe the beauty of its havelis (houses or traditional Indian mansions). You will be surprised by the decoration of these houses where the mughal architecture is enhanced with the paintings that decorate them: a true paradise for art lovers. We will spend the night in this beautiful town.

  • Day 04
    Day 04    Mandawa – Bikaner

    In the morning, after breakfast, we will go by road to Bikaner, a spectacular and chaotic city where you can visit some unexpected attractions. This Rajasthani city used to be a mandatory stop for merchants traveling between Gujarat and Central Asia. Founded in the 15th century, it holds wonderful buildings such as the Junagarh Fort, characterized by its reddish color. This fortification hides dreamlike rooms with exquisite decoration that will transport you to the era of the rulers that occupied it since the 17th century. After the visit to the fort and a stop for lunch, we will visit the royal tombs where the monarchs of this land, both kings and queens, were cremated. Considered as one of the finest examples of Rajasthani art and architecture, each grave is carved in detail and tells a different story. The location next to a sacred pond and the peaceful and quiet atmosphere make this place a unique visit where you will feel the magic of the ancient kingdom of Rajasthan. The last stop of the day will be to one of the most unusual temples in the world, known as the Temple of Rats or the Temple of Karni Mata. Located in the desert on the outskirts of Bikaner, this Hindu temple is dedicated to these small animals that inhabit the place. It is considered good luck to feed them, so if you want to improve your karma and you are brave enough you can try to give them some food. The legend says that if you see the white rat you are looking at Karni Mata herself, which is a blessing. So keep your eyes wide open! After an intense day of historical and cultural learning we will go back to the hotel in Bikaner where we will spend the night.

    Day 05    Bikaner – Jaisalmer

    Today in the morning we will head towards the golden city of Jaisalmer. In this majestic town we will walk through the medieval streets of the fort, dating back the 12th century. This golden construction rises on top of the hill like a sandcastle in harmony with the rest of the Landscape. We will have the evening free to enjoy and admire the beauty of Gadisar Lake

  • Day 06
    Day 06    Jaisalmer

    Today in the morning to visit the beautiful Palace Fort & beautiful Jain Temples. In the afternoon we will start our adventure towards the Thar desert to join a safari camp. We will visit one of the reconstructed villages in the area to understand how was the life of the locals in the desert. Nearby we will go on a camel and see the sunset in a beautiful secluded part of the desert where we will spend a magical night enjoying a local dinner by a campfire and looking at the incredible starry sky. We will spend the night in the Thar desert.

  • Day 07
    Day 07    Jaisalmer – Jodhpur

    Very early in the morning we will wake up to see the sunrise in the desert and have breakfast before taking another camel ride around the dunes. We will go back to Jaisalmer to start our trip towards Jodhpur, the blue city, famous for the houses of such colour due to the Brahmin cast. We will have the evening free to walk around the streets of this beautiful city, visit the bazaars and taste the famous Indian spices. We will spend the night in Jodhpur.

  • Day 08
    Day 08    Jodhpur – Ranakpur – Udaipur

    First thing in the morning we will visit Mehrangarh Fort, of stunning beauty, and described by Rudyard Kipling as ‘a palace that might have been built by titans and colored by the morning. On the way we will visit the famous Jain Temples of Ranakpur which is built of white marble & it has the marvelous carvings. Following this visit we will move to our next destination: the Venice of India, Udaipur. This is one of the most romantic cities in the whole country, which radiate majesticity in every corner. We will have the evening free and, after strolling along the shore of Lake Pichola and watching the sunset, we will enjoy a cultural dinner and a dance show in one of the havelis of Udaipur. We will spend the night in Udaipur.

  • Day 09
    Day 09    Udaipur

    Today, after breakfast, we will visit the City Palace, which is the largest in all of Rajasthan and its beauty is such that it deserves all morning to be discovered. Followed by the stop for lunch you will have time to take a boat ride and admire the architecture of the Taj Lake Palace Hotel, located on the island of Jagat Niwas, one of the most luxurious hotels in the world. After sunset, free time to walk around the city. We will spend the night in Udaipur.

  • Day 10
    Day 10    Udaipur – Pushkar

    Today we will drive towards the sacred city of Pushkar. Pushkar is one of the oldest cities in India and thousands of pilgrims visit it every year because it is one of the few places in the world with a temple dedicated to God Brahma, the creator. We will have the free evening to wander around Pushkar Lake, which has 52 ghats. We will enjoy of a wonderful sunset view from any corner of the lake and at the same time we will relax listening the ceremonies that take place here every evening. We will spend the night in Pushkar.

  • Day 11
    Day 11    Pushkar – Jaipur

    Today, after breakfast, we will drive by road to the beautiful city of Jaipur, the so-called pink city (the color of hospitality) since all buildings within the historic center are of this color. Here we will have the free evening to enjoy and stroll through the streets and bazaars of the capital of Rajasthan. We will spend the night in Jaipur.

  • Day 12
    Day 12    Jaipur

    In the morning we will visit the majestic Amber Fort, a World Heritage Site for its architectural and historical value. The location and the views from this fort make it even more impressive and magnificent. After the visit we will stop for lunch and we will go to the city center to enjoy a guided tour through the pink streets of Jaipur. You will have time to take pictures of the delicate facade of the Palace of the Winds or Hawa Mahal. We will spend the night in Jaipur.

  • Day 13
    Day 13    Jaipur – Agra

    We will leave Jaipur behind to head towards Agra, famous around the world for being the place where the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, is located. After lunch we will visit the Agra Fort, one of the most exquisite forts in India and from where the emperor Shah Jahan could see the construction of the mausoleum he commissioned to build for love. We will see the sunset in the gardens of Mehtab Bagh, from where you will observe the changing colors of the Taj Mahal. A unique moment for lovers of photography. We will spend the night in Agra.

  • Day 14
    Day 14    Agra – Delhi

    The best time to visit the Taj Mahal is at sunrise, so today we will visit this outstanding building between 5 and 6am (depending on the opening times). After the visit we will have breakfast and head towards Delhi. Once in Delhi we will finish our services with a little farewell gift from Dhyanam India Tours.
